Luke Strong And Son Mortuary, Ltd. was founded in 1995 by Luke and Betty Strong. The aim and goal was and is to provide the citizens of Colquitt and surrounding counties with the very best in funeral services. Through the dedication and commitment to the community Luke Strong And Son Mortuary, Ltd. has become one of the busiest funeral establishments in the Southwest Georgia area. Built on hard work and values Luke Strong And Son Mortuary has the reputation and respect as being a true cornerstone in the Moultrie/Colquitt County Community.

Mr. Luke P. Strong Jr.
Founder/Owner
Mr. Strong was the owner and founder of Luke Strong And Son Mortuary, which he and his wife started in 1995. Mr. Strong was born in Colquitt County, Georgia to the late Luke Strong, Sr. and the late Mamie Strong Brown. Mr. Strong was a prominent figure in the Moultrie/Colquitt County community for over 70 years. He passed away on September 24, 2017 after a long fight with diabetes.
His commitment to his community was witnessed as being the second longest current serving elected official in Colquitt County with more than 30 years as a Colquitt County Commissioner. Mr. Strong had served on many executive boards including, Moultrie Technical College Board of Directors.
Luke Strong, Jr. was married to Betty A. Strong who is a retired educator with more than 38 years of touching the lives of children throughout Colquitt County.
Luke Jr. has five children; Luke Strong, III, Dorothy Strong, Sarah Strong, Pamela Strong Simmons, Ph.D., Kimberly Strong Presley, and Dr. Fonda Strong Thompson; four grandchildren, Luke Strong, IV, Tyrell Wright, Landon Strong, and Leah Strong.
Mrs. Betty A. Strong
Founder/Owner
Mrs. Betty Strong is the owner and founder of Luke Strong And Son Mortuary. Mrs. Strong was born and raised in Glenwood, Georgia the daughter of Elmer and Dorothy James.
She is a graduate of the Wheeler County Public School System. She holds a B.S. Degree in Early Childhood Education from the historic Morris Brown College of Atlanta, Georgia.
Mrs. Strong is a retired teacher with more than 38 years of touching the lives of children throughout Colquitt County.
She has three children, Luke Strong, III, Dorothy Strong, Sarah Strong and four grandchildren, Luke Strong, IV, Tyrell Wright, Landon Strong, and Leah Strong.
Mr. Luke P. Strong III
CEO/Managing Director
Luke Strong, III is the only son of Luke and Betty Strong. Mr. Strong serves as the company's President and CEO.
Mr. Strong is a graduate of Colquitt County High School. Mr. Strong hold a B.S. Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Business Management from Albany State University. He is also a graduate of Ogeechee Technical College with a A.A. Degree in Funeral Service Education. He is a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer.
Mr. Strong serves on the Foundation Board of Colquitt Regional Medical Center. Past member of the Board of Directors for the Moultrie/Colquitt County Boys and Girls Club Inc. Mr. Strong is a member of the Georgia 4th District of the National Funeral Directors and Morticians Association, Inc, where he serves as vice-president. He is also member of the Georgia Academy of Graduate Embalmers and the Moultrie/Colquitt County Branch of the NAACP.
Mr. Strong is married to Renita L. Strong and they have three children; Luke III (15), twins, Landon and Leah (10).

Mrs. Renita L. Strong is the youngest daughter of Marion Thomas and the late Brenda J. Thomas. Mrs. Strong was reared in Dublin, Georgia where she was a 2000 graduate of West Laurens High School. Mrs. Strong earned a B.A. Degree in Psychology from Albany State University. She also earned an A.A. Degree in Funeral Service Education from Ogeechee Technical College. Mrs. Strong is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Education Administration.
Mrs. Strong is married to Luke Strong, III and have three children; Luke Strong, IV (15) twins, Landon and Leah Strong (10).
She has been employed with Luke Strong And Son Mortuary for twenty years.
Rev. Michael L. Perkins

Mr. Michael L. Perkins, is the second oldest child of Donald and Mattie Perkins. Born and reared in Kansas City, Missouri, he attended and graduated from Central High School in Kansas City. Mr. Perkins joined the United States Army in 1967.
Having served in Korea, Vietnam, and other countries while serving in the U.S. Army he received a diploma in Graves Registration of Mortuary Science. Mr. Perkins was a Prisoner of War in the Philippians. He retired after twenty four years and six months of dedicated service.
Mr. Perkins is also an ordained pastor. Having served in the Christian Methodist Church where he pastored for thirty three years in various states.
Mr. Perkins earned a degree in Theology from Liberty University. He also attended Gupton Jones School of Mortuary Science.
He has two daughters; Yvonne Carroll and Isabel Perdue.
Mr. Perkins has been employed with Luke Strong And Son Mortuary for eleven years.
Mr. Mark Davis

Mr. Davis is the son of Shirley Davis-Perkins and the late Samuel Davis. He was raised in Moultrie, Georgia where he graduated from Colquitt County High School in 1992. Mr. Davis then persuaded a career in the railroad industry for over twenty years, holding several positions from conductor to superintendent.
Mr. Davis has been employed with Luke Strong And Son Mortuary for seven years.
Mr. Nathaniel French Sr.

Mr. Nathaniel French, Sr. is the son of the late Edward and Susie French. He was born and raised in Moultrie, Georgia where he graduated from Colquitt County High School. He is a four year veteran of the United States Army where he served his country faithfully.
Mr. French has been in Law Enforcement for 31 years. He is currently a Captain with the Colquitt County Sherriff Department
Mr. French is married to LaQuisa Ward French. He has four five children; Michelle French Hines, Nathaniel French, Jr., Tavaris Ward, Yasmine French and Nariya French. He also has nine grandchildren.
He has been employed with Luke Strong And Son Mortuary for twelve years.

Mr. Todd Myrick was born in Moutrie, Georgia the son of Teresa Bridges. He attended and graduated from Colquitt County High School.
Mr. Myrick has been employed with the Colquitt County Sheriff Department for the past fourteen years, where he holds the position of Sergeant of School Resource Division. He attended Thomas University. Mr. Myrick is a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church where he serves as Deacon.
He is married to Mrs. Lena Myrick. He has three children; TaQuaveon, Shannon, and Laila.
He has been employed with Luke Strong And Son Mortuary for five years.
Ms. Stacy C. Jones

Ms. Jones is the daughter of Mr & Mrs Willie and Mary Cheevers. She is graduate of Colquitt County High School. She holds a B.S. in middle grades education from Albany State University and Masters in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) from Grand Canyon University. She just recently obtained her Education Specialist from Georgia Southwestern University.
Ms. Jones is currently a full-time educator for the Colquitt County school system and has been for over 22 years. She is passionate about empowering women and girls, establishing a girls club G.E.M.S. (Girls Exemplifying Magnificent Standards) and pioneering a women's support group, EMPOWER as a part of her faith-based ministry.
Ms. Jones is the mother of Maiya Thompson and Cambric Jones.
She has been employed with Luke Strong And Son Mortuary for eleven years.

Mr. Frank Williams was born in Thomas County, Georgia the son of the late Thelma Brooks. He attended and graduated from the Thomas County School System. He is veteran of the United States Army.
Mr. Williams has been employed with the Thomas County Sheriff Department for 36 years.
He has been employed with Luke Strong And Son Mortuary for nine years.
Mr. Marcus J. Anderson, Jr.
Compliance Officer
Marcus Anderson Jr was born in Moultrie, Ga. He is the son of Marcus Anderson, Sr. and Kenyada Wallace. He attended and graduated from Colquitt County High School with Honors.
Marcus obtained a B.S. Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Business Management from Georgia State University. He is also enrolled at Gupton-Jones College of funeral service pending completion for an Associates Degree in Funeral Service Education.
Marcus serves as a role model for the youth in the community. He is a mentor for Colquitt County gentlemen’s club, and a mentor for Colquitt County Leadership Legends. He is a member of the Colquitt County Branch NAACP and member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church.

Luke P. Strong, IV is the eldest son of Luke and Renita Strong. He is a Freshman at Colquitt County High School, where he is a member of the football team, baseball team, track team and the Gentleman's Club.
