Mrs. Dorothy Rose Crawford

It is with heartfelt sympathy, the management and staff of Luke Strong and Son Mortuary, Ltd. are saddened to announce the passing of Mrs. Dorothy Rose Crawford. Mrs. Crawford was born to the late William Henry Crawford, Sr. and the late Pearlie Mae Ruffin Crawford in Sale City, Georgia on July 4, 1944. On Sunday morning, January 16, 2022, Dorothy departed this life at her residence in Moultrie, Georgia surrounded by her family. She was 77 years old. Mrs. Crawford worked for many years in agriculture. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Scott Taylor; one grandson, Jah-Gary Taylor; three brothers, Joseph Crawford, Percy Crawford and William Henry Crawford; two sisters, Mary Clark and Annie Bell Gamble. She leaves to cherish her memory; six sons, Ernest Drew (Rosetta), Ossie Taylor (Gloria), Johnny Taylor (Sandra), Frank Taylor (Angelia), Gary Taylor (Tequilea) all of Moultrie, Georgia, Eric Taylor of Atlanta, Georgia; two daughters, Patricia Crawford and Pearlie Mae Drew both of Moultrie, Georgia; three sisters, Ellouise Stokes (Romey), Daisy Simpson and Annie Lois Crawford; two brothers, Aaron Crawford and Johnny Crawford; devoted caretaker and cousin, Janet Alderman of Moultrie, Georgia; twenty-five grandchildren and forty-eight great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
