Mr. Matt Dawson Jr.

Mr. Matt Dawson, Jr. was born April 14, 1938 in Phenix City, Alabama the son of the late Matt Dawson, Sr. and the late Jimmie Lee Roundtree. He departed this life on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at the Miller County Hospital. Mr. Dawson was employed with Wells Aluminum for more than 27 years as a lead man. He was of the Baptist faith. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, watching TV, and family gatherings. He was preceded in death by his parents; one great-granddaughter, Alexis Walker; and a host of brothers and sisters. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 66 years, Mozella Dawson; three sons, Bobby Dawson, Larry Dawson all of Norman Park, Georgia, Paul Dawson of Moultrie, Georgia; two daughters, Virginia Dawson and Doretha Dawson both of Norman Park, Georgia; three brothers, Tommy Lee Dawson, Maurice Dawson (Brenda), and Earl Dawson all of Barwick, Georgia; four sisters, Effie Mae Adams (Mike) of Boynton Beach, Florida, Katie Mae Dawson of Barwick, Georgia, Betty Jean Wolfe (Robert) of Pavo, Georgia and Ruth Mae Dawson of Barwick, Georgia; two special friends, Leroy Jones of Moultrie, Georgia and Leroy Kinsey of Norman Park, Georgia; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
