    Mrs. Vanessa Johnson Watts

    March 1, 1956 - December 18, 2020

    Mrs. Vanessa Johnson Watts was born March 1, 1956 in Moultrie, Georgia the daughter of the late Jimmy Johnson, Sr. and the late Idessa Jones Johnson. She departed this life on Friday, December 18, 2020 at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. Mrs. Watts attended the Colquitt County School System. She was a member of New Jerusalem Church under the leadership of Reverend Charles Luke, Jr., She was employed at C.A. Gray Junior High School for more than five years. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, gardening, and dancing. She was known by many as a hard worker. She was preceded in death by her mother and father; husband, Willie Watts; two brothers, Mallory Johnson, Jimmie Johnson, Jr.; three sisters, Sarah Peterson, Lubertha Ponder, and Roxie Butts. She leaves to cherish her memory daughter, Alison Haywood; son, Kelvin Watts; step-daughter, Chiquita Watts Ross; four brothers, Willie C. Johnson, Scrap Johnson (Maxine), Charlie Will Johnson (Mary), Freddie Johnson; three sisters, Marylon Lamar, Laverne Johnson all of Moultrie, Georgia, Altanese Johnson of Miami, Florida; two granddaughters, Alexis Meza of Berlin, Georgia and Ali’sia Johnson of Moultrie, Georgia; one sister-in-law, Nellie Reynolds (Cleveland) and Helen Watts; god-children, Avreyunna Morton of Moultrie, Georgia, A’Nya Brown of Savannah, Georgia and Amad Troupe of Moultrie, Georgia; special friends, Greg and Dianna Isaac, Patricia King, Geneva Hawkins, Beverly Kimbrough and Harold Patilla all of Moultrie, Georgia and a host of other relatives and friends.
